Eagleton Community,
We all love our Eagleton community and we all take part in that community. Since we are all part of this community, each week in the Eagle’s Nest Newsletter, I will celebrate or acknowledge an Eagleton Family Member or Community Member. We will do this by giving an affirmation. An affirmation is like a “shout-out” or a positive recognition.
Monique Lopez is a long time Eagleton parent. She loves the Eagleton community and she shows that through her support of her children and classrooms. Thank you Monique and family for everything you do!
Since Eagleton is considered a Title 1 school, (High number of students who are eligible for Free and Reduced Price Lunch and we receive additional federal money to help increase student achievement in our school.) it is important that I share with you our Parent Compact. This document is reviewed by our Collaborative School Committee each year and shows the important partnership between families and Eagleton staff.
Please take some time to review it. At Eagleton we believe the success of our students is increased when we have family participation and partnership.

Finally, at Eagleton we have a Gifted and Talented Teacher that supports students with their advanced learning. Here is our Gifted and Talented (GT) Plan.
Together, the diverse Eagleton community respects, nurtures and inspires a passion for creative thinking and lifelong learning while building a strong academic foundation. Eagleton students receive a strong, standards-based education in reading, writing, mathematics, social studies and science. We work to make sure our students have the necessary knowledge and skills to become successful readers and writers. At Eagleton, our primary focus is to build capacity and develop students’ efficacy in order to move students from the talent pool to formal identification into Gifted and Talented. In our talent development pool, students receive Gifted and Talented (GT) services without formal identification. Eagleton believes that a GT program must have a broad representation of students from different ethnic backgrounds with support in Social/Emotional Learning. In order to help our GT and talent pool students, our GT teacher supports classroom teachers with instructional, social/emotional, academic strategies, and programming. We provide families with support and opportunities to help their child grow.
Eagleton has a weekly food truck! Come grab some yummy food on Tuesdays at dismissal.
