My name Heidi Saunders and I am excited to be part of the Eagleton team this school year. I grew up in Elberton, Georgia and got my bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. Then I started my teaching career outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana where I taught middle school math for 6 years. I received my Master’s degree from Columbia University and then moved to Denver where I became the assistant principal at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Early College. I have also had the opportunity to serve as the secondary math manager for the district during my time in DPS. Now I am excited to be in the elementary world! In my free time, I love to cheer on the Georgia Bulldogs and spend time with my husband and three daughters.
